Attention Band/Music Parents and Community Members! As you know, the Marion Band Program is growing year by year and we have reached a point where we need a bit of help! To be able to offer the activities and opportunities to our students involved in the program, we are in need of a group of volunteers to help with planning and logistics. This is not to be a financial commitment, more of time and energy to help the program continuously grow. We will have an open meeting on Wednesday, July 10 in the High School Band Room at 6pm. Discussion points will include: upcoming HS Band Camp, football games, concerts, fundraisers, long-term goals, website, and delegation options. If you are interested and have specific skills that you would be willing to share with the band program, please be present at the meeting so we can give our band students the best chance at musical success in a small town! Do you want to become a member of our Board of Education? If so, please contact Tracey Cochran, County Clerk for Osceola County, 231-832-3261. Candidates running for school board must file both the Affidavit of Identity and the petitions with between 6 to 20 signatures of qualified electors in your school district. All candidates must file their paperwork with the Osceola County Clerk's office no later than 4:00 PM on July 23, 2024.
