They spent the day rehearsing as a part of a 94 member band from 20 different schools around the area. The performance, held the same evening, was an energetic and vibrant concert that finished up with the fan favorite, Don't Stop Believing by Journey.

Last week, the Marion 8th Grade US History class concluded its participation in a series of simulated senate hearings with the 8th graders of Mason County Central. During this collaboration, the class acted as the Congress for one MCC's panel of experts, as they addressed one of the three guiding questions related to how the Constitution was used to establish our government. As members of the Congress, Marion students prepared questions to test MCC's claims and evidence, then they provided constructive feedback on the panel's performance. Later in the week, three Marion groups found themselves in the hot seat as they became the experts, addressing the Congress (MCC's class) with their analysis of one of the three guiding questions. Marion Public Schools would like to thank MCC for the invitation to participate again in this collaboration which is now in its third year!
