Marion High School Junior Varsity Volleyball Coaching Position Opening

Pre Regional baseball will take place at Glen Lake versus Glen Lake on Wednesday, June 5th. Game time is 5:00. Tickets must be purchased on GoFan, passes will not be accepted.

McKayla Cruson capped off her senior season placing 2nd in discus this past weekend at the D4 State Finals Meet in Hudsonville throwing 117'2". McKayla had a record breaking season, by setting the discus record at 120'2" earlier this season. Her hard work and determination have paid off! Congratulations McKayla!

STATE CHAMPION! Braden Prielipp finishes first in D4 for high jump! 6’8” was the winning jump. This meet concluded Braden’s senior season on just about as high of a note as possible!
Braden was the D4 state HJ champion his sophomore year and finished runner-up last year. To come back this year and jump as well and consistent as he has is a testament to his growth throughout high school. In addition to his physical development, his leadership ability really started to surface this year as well as his ability to deal with the ups and downs of having to compete in an event where you always finish by failing three attempts. Braden’s high jump legacy will remain on the wall in the gym with the school record set last year in Kalkaska at 6’10”. - Coach Keeler

District Champs! 🏆 Congratulations Varsity Baseball! They clinched the district title with a win over Mesick. They now move on to regional play. Information will be announced soon!

The Marion Elementary staff would like to wish students and their families a safe and relaxful summer! Remember to keep reading!

Marion High School will miss two smiling faces next fall. Mrs. Janet Mort and Ms. Lisa Sembach are retiring. Both enjoyed a student send off during MHS's last Recognition Rally on May 15. Along with the usual student recognitions, this rally included a "Who said it? Taylor Swift or Shakespeare" competition between Mrs. Mort and Mrs. Ballew-Hoffman with their student "families". Ms. Lisa was greeted with the biggest crowd cheer the MHS gym has seen since winter sports. Thank you for serving our students, school staff and community with your dedicated smiles! Take a peek at Mr. Pummell and a couple of his Science Students of the Year. Mr. Pummell is resigning at the end of this year and will also be missed by MHS staff and students. We wish him the best in the next adventure in Montana. You will also notice the "coach talk" from Mr. Grundy so our students could "Power Through" to the end of school. Look, Coach, they made it!!

Marion Public Schools wishes to extend the BIGGEST thank you to our retiring staff. Janet Mort, Lisa Sembach and Lynna Eising were presented with an appreciation award at the staff luncheon to celebrate their years of service to the district and community. We wish the best years of retirement- full of fun, family, relaxation and in Janet's case more sewing. Please feel free to drop them a note of congratulations or appreciation if you wish. Enjoy the next chapter of life!
