Senior Spotlight: Mason D. "My plan for the fall is to continue my Baker College classes to strive toward my associate's degree. I miss high school for the in class environment that I had the opportunity to experience with my friends." Congratulations Mason! 

Woohoo! Seniors are picking up caps and gowns today! Look for an article in the Cadillac News. This is a happy day with lots of beeping, cheering and air hugging. ♥️♥️🦅

Senior Spotlight: Joe F. Joe is planning on attending NMC in the fall where he will be working on an associate's degree in fresh water studies. Upon completion he intends to further his studies at Lake Superior State University where he will work on a BS in Environmental Biology. Congratulations Joe!!!

Some would say math and science are all about problems. Using IXL.com there are some kids tackling them! Mrs. Clark's fourth grade class has answered 25,000 math questions for this school year. Mrs. Quist's third graders have answered 500 science questions during our distance learning session. Great job using technology to your advantage to further your learning!!

Senior Spotlight: Ali B. “In the fall I plan on attending Florida State College. I am going to miss all of the friendships that I have created and the memories that we have all made together since preschool.” Congratulations Ali!

Junior high teachers are giving recognition to some students who are ALL IN for finishing this school year strong, virus or no virus! We are proud of you! Mr. Ingleright says that Alekz R. and Bryce C.i are doing great in shop! Mrs. McCrimmon is giving kudos to Alekz R. and Ethan T. for working super hard in all subjects! Carrierose and Keirston have been rocking as paper/pencil learners, Micheal H. has been doing all his online assignments for math, and Emily C. for completing English work. Mrs. Deighton has some 6th grade marvelous mathematicians: Elaina, Mason, Jennifer, Molly, Jaden, Cayden, Ava, Collin, Reagan, Cannon and Aaliyah. In The Great Reading Race of 2020, Cayden M. won the 2nd leg with Elaina following and Collin in 3rd place! There is one more leg to go! Super Scientists from Mrs. Flemming and Mrs. Deighton are Ava, Carrierose, Keirston, Jaden, Cayden, Mackenzie, Kaylee, Bryce, Mara, Maddie S, Emily C, Madison H, Emily H. Alexz R, McKayla C, Sye, Emilee R. Bonnie K, Ashlyn H, Dawson T, Alora, Jacelyn, Lila K, Daniel F, Brandon F, Ellie P, and Karma L. Mrs. Louwers is giving shout outs to Bryce, Marissa H., Mara, Mackenzie S, and Brandon F. in English class! Thank you to the families who've supported these kids, too!

Marion athletes: The MHSAA has released information regarding athletic physicals for the 2020-2021 school year. If an athlete has an athletic physical for the 2019-2020 school year it WILL carry over to the 2020-2021 school year, however, they will be asked to fill out a Health Questionnaire form. These forms can be picked up in the high school office.

Senior Spotlight: Brandon S. “I plan on attending Mid Michigan Community College and working. The thing I miss most about high school is seeing friends everyday and of course-baseball.”

MHS would like to honor some high school students who are rising above the obstacles of our times. Learning without a school building, person-to-person communication, and sometimes a less than stellar internet connection is a challenge! These students are connecting to teachers and completing assignments to the best of their abilities! Their resolve deserves recognition. Here's some kids gaining more knowledge power: Fourth graders, Macy M. is working on her 2nd study path at the 5th grade level in Edready and Chase M. is working on the 1st study path for 5th grade. Way to power through! Yay, for fifth grader, Isiah P., who finished the first study path in Ed Ready for 5th grade. A shout out to Kohen T, third grader, for completing another topic using System 44! MES is very grateful to all the families and parents learning and returning the packets from your teachers. Keep up the good work; we're on the home stretch!

Senior Spotlight: Christian S. “I am leaving for the service on May 17.” Congratulations!!!

Senior Spotlight: Alexis S. “I plan on first attending Mid Michigan Community College for one year and then transferring to Ferris State University to study psychology or another science related field. I will attend the ROTC program at Ferris. Once I get my degree I plan on joining the National Guard or Army Reserves while continuing my career in psychology or science.  What I miss about high school is seeing my friends and favorite teachers everyday and playing sports. ”

Attention students of next year’s 6-12 grades: MPACT is looking for members! Founded by MHS students in 2014, MPACT is Marion's Peer Advisory Council of Teens. Our purpose is to positively influence our community by creating a safe positive environment, giving students an influential voice, solving problems through student leadership, and supporting other student groups. So if you’re at all interested in leadership opportunities, having a voice about events and procedures at MHS and you care about making our school and our community more awesome than it is already, send an email to Mrs. Baker, Mr Baldwin or Mrs. Deighton to request an electronic application. Senior Spotlight: Mia G. Plans in the fall: “I plan on going to Ferris State University in the fall for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.” What will do you miss about high school:  ”I miss most the crazy conversations and hanging with my track girls; they are my family.” Congratulations Mia!!!

A reminder that Marion Elementary will be passing out packets today for K-5 students from 11-6. If you are not able to pick up the packets, please notify your child's teacher to make alternative arrangements. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
