The Senior Class of 2024 celebrated their last day of high school with a blend of new and traditional events that made for a memorable farewell. The day kicked off with a Sunrise Breakfast at The Flashback, where students gathered to enjoy a meal together as the first light of day broke over their hometown. This early morning gathering allowed them to share laughter, reminisce about their high school journey, and prepare for the day's activities. After breakfast, they headed off to their final classes, where they tied up any loose ends and said goodbye to their teachers and friends.
As the morning turned into afternoon, the excitement continued with a fantastic cookout at lunch. The cookout featured a delicious spread of hotdogs, hamburgers, and a variety of side dishes. This feast was made possible thanks to the generous contributions of many families, who provided the food and helped with the preparations. The sense of community and support was evident as everyone came together to make this day special for the graduating seniors.
To add an extra layer of fun, Edward’s Rentals and More donated an inflatable obstacle course. This provided the students with a final opportunity to engage in carefree, childlike play, creating lasting memories of their last day at high school.
The seniors took their final walk around the track, where they received applause and cheers from their family and friends. Each step symbolized not only the end of their high school journey, but also the beginning of new adventures.
Following the walk, the tradition continued with a spirited water balloon fight. It was a perfect way to celebrate the end of their school days, a final burst of childhood fun before stepping into the responsibilities of adulthood.
As the sun began to set on this memorable day, a few of the seniors gathered in the athletic complex to witness the sunset together. The setting sun marked the end of one chapter and the dawn of another, a beautiful reminder that though high school was over, the bonds they had formed would last a lifetime.
Graduation is set for May 24th at 7pm and will take place in the High School Gymnasium.
