It is with an extremely broken heart that I have to announce that spectators will NOT be allowed at the football game on Saturday. Although Marion and Powers North welcome spectators per the MHSAA and MDHHS guidelines, Northern Michigan University is not allowing spectators. Appeals have been made to the president of the university, and their policy is no spectators. Although this is beyond a disappointment, we have to respect the decision of the university and follow their guidlelines so our athletes have the opportunity to compete.
For Saturday's game, Powers North will be using the NFHS Network to video broadcast the game. The game will also be broadcast on 107.9 CDY. Please follow the link https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/events/mhsaa-mi/gam15b69238d1 to subscribe to watch the game. The football game will not be streamed on Facebook Live as previously planned.
Hey all you Eagle Fans! Let's show our support for our football team as they head to Marquette Friday morning at 9:00am! Line main street to cheer, honk, wave signs, and show that Eagle Pride! The game will be streamed on Facebook Live starting at 11:55am on Saturday. #GOEAGLES
Please remember to follow the drop off and pick up procedures in place at the elementary school. Let's keep our kids safe.
We look forward to seeing all of our students, K-12, on Monday, January 4th. Remember, Mondays are late start days. We hope you enjoyed your holiday break.
Football practice will resume Monday, 3:30-5:00. Your athlete will receive information regarding the COVID pilot testing program as well as a consent form that must be returned before practice on Wednesday to be able to participate in the completion of the season. Remember to dress appropriately. #GoEagles
The MHSAA has paused fall sports practices until next week. With a pause in practice, it also means a change in the date of the semi-final football game. Marion and the MHSAA are working hard to put all the steps in place to meet the requirements of MDHHS to allow our athletes to finish their season. Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this ever changing time. Any updates will be shared when they become available. #EagleStrong!
Playoff football is back! Marion will be taking on Powers North in semi-final football action at the Superior Dome on the campus of Northern Michigan University on January 2 at 12:00pm. Although current MHSAA regulations do not allow for spectators, the game will be brought to you by live broadcast. More information to follow! #GoEagles
Attention football players! Practice will resume Monday at 3:30. Dress appropriately and get ready to prepare for semi-finals. *More information to come regarding the game*
